Our Leadership
Mr Lau Wah Ming serves as the Chairman of BioRenew Energy. He is concurrently the Deputy Chairman and CEO of SGP Global group, a company invested by several Singapore government agencies. Mr Lau is also the Principal Mediator at the Singapore Mediation Centre, Adjudicator with the Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre of Singapore, and Chairman of Bishan Home for the Intellectually Disabled.

Mr Lau brings to BioRenew Energy 40 years of experience in the Public Service. He is a former Secretary to the Cabinet and Secretary to the Prime Minister (2004-2009), and has served in senior positions in ministries that include Finance, Economic Development, Defense, Education, National Development, Communications and Transport. He served as Secretary of an inter-Ministry and multi-Agency Committee on Alternate Dispute Resolution, whose final recommendations were enacted as legislation on mediation and dispute resolution that resulted in the transformation of the industrial arbitration sector in Singapore. Mr Lau was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 1998 by the President of Singapore.

Ralph Foong is the Chief Executive Officer of BioRenew Energy, responsible for driving its overall strategic growth. He finds his passion as an energy and technology business leader, and brings to the leadership role a wealth of experience as a former senior member of Singapore's public service operating at the intersections of energy, technology, business, policy and regulation. Ralph has served as Deputy Chief Executive of Singapore's energy regulator the Energy Market Authority, where he was a senior member of Singapore's cross-ministry and cross-agency team driving energy transition policies and plans. He has more than 20 years of experience previously driving industry formation and development at the Singapore Economic Development Board.

Ralph currently serves as a Corporate Advisor at Temasek, Board Member of the Singapore Environment Council, District Councillor at the North West Community Development Council and Member of the Bukit Panjang Citizens' Consultative Committee.
